So… a few years ago, we began planning an exit strategy. We knew a few things for sure – we wanted to slow down, we wanted to live a more fulfilling and sustainable life, and we wanted to be apart of a community that shared our love for easy, simple, conscious living.

 

 

It wasn’t long before we landed on the idea of building, what we called at the time our ‘eco-retreat’. The vision completely consumed us. We listed our Northern Beaches rental on AirBNB for weekends, and when we had guests, we packed our car and hit the road. We camped at some of NSW most epic spots and stayed in some of Australia’s finest eco-friendly weekenders.

With a few years under our belt of pitching our tent and sitting around the fire pit, we began sculpting what we now call Salty Cabins.

​

 

Salty Cabins provides a chance for people to switch off and get a taste of a more self-sufficient way of life.  We are apart of the 1% for The Planet  community and donate  $20 of each stay to Sea Shepherd Australia as well as plant a tree in honour of each of our guests.

 

 

So there we have it. An indulgent earth-friendly getaway, close to Byron Bay, Mullumbimby and Brusnwick Heads but also far enough to unwind, disconnect and escape the crowds. A luxurious cabin experience that also gives back to the planet.
